After some basic instruction on Principles of Flight you will get the opportunity to get instruction on the flight simulator. At first the basic instruction is on the Piper Cub where you learn to start up the engine, taxi the tail dragger, then take off and fly circuits. Progression then to move onto the Cessna 172, where teaching of basic navigation using VOR. Then moving onto multi engine Boeing 737.
The simulator will also be used for cadets going on to their Gliding Scholarship where they can do circuits and general pilot checks, and start up procedures.
